A bright, south-facing double room with a standard double bed, an ensuite shower room with heated towel rail, a small television equipped with Freeview and a beverage tray with a kettle and a selection of teas and coffee, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. A mini fridge (for the organic oat milk provided by your host) and a hairdryer are provided. Dispensers in the shower are filled with Faith in Nature shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Many lovely original features from the Victorian cottage have been retained in the bedroom: the red brick fireplace, the casement windows and the built-in wardrobe. A Hauck travel cot with a premium cot mattress and organic cotton sheets is available on request, along with a baby bath that can stand in the shower. This room can accommodate one large dog or two moderate sized dogs.

The twin room with two single beds is across the corridor from the double room. It is also south-facing, looking out over the front garden of the cottage. It has a large ensuite bathroom with a bath, a separate walk-in shower and a heated towel rail. Dispensers in the shower are filled with Faith in Nature shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Also in the bedroom there is a beverage tray with a kettle and a selection of teas and coffee, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. A mini fridge (for the organic oat milk provided by your host) and a hairdryer are provided. There is a small television equipped with Freeview. This room can accommodate one moderate sized dog, or two small dogs.
The twin beds can be joined together (on request, by email, at the time of booking) to form a large double (Width = 6 foot / 182.88 cm. Length = 6 foot 3 inches / 190cm) Low season rate: £85 per room per night including breakfast. High season (May-August) rate: £95 per room per night including breakfast. |
Lily
This room has one single bed and is located on the ground floor, by the front door and across from the dining room. It is south-facing, looking out over the front garden of the cottage. There is a beverage tray with kettle, tea bags and coffee, homemade chocolate chip cookies, and a mini fridge (containing the organic oat milk provided by your host.) A hairdryer is provided. This room can accommodate one moderate sized dog, or two small dogs. My friend Margaret did the lovely painting on the walls, and sourced the furniture from a local charity shop.
**Please note that there is NO ensuite bathroom connected to this room** There is a shower room with a toilet located along the corridor. It has a heated towel rail. A guest robe (dressing gown) and slippers are available for your use. Faith in Nature shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided.

High season (May-August) rate: £80 per room per night including breakfast.
Breakfast (served 8am-9am)
A cooked vegan breakfast is made to order and served in the guest breakfast room. There is also a selection of cereals, various plant/nut milk alternatives, fruit juice and toasted homemade bread (or gluten-free flatbread) with a selection of spreads. The breakfast room doubles as a sitting room which guests and their dogs are welcome to use throughout their stay. There are some board games, books and children's books and toys. Enjoy cosy evenings in front of the wood burning stove.

The menu is written on the blackboard each morning and will change according to which seasonal organic vegetables are available at the time. Bring your own alcohol as Nab Cottage is not licensed. Soft drinks can be purchased from the drinks menu. If you would like to have dinner then please add this to your room booking.
Not staying here but fancy dinner at Nab Cottage? I can accommodate up to 4 diners each night, depending on how many guests I have staying. Please email me to check availability as I need a bit of notice to order in the ingredients. The garden at Nab Cottage
Highwoods through the seasons. A lovely place to walk.
Charlie, a young rescued labrador, who arrived at Nab Cottage in early January 2024. He's still learning the ropes and can be a bit nervous and shy, but he desperately wants to be friends with everyone!
